2026 Silent Auction Bull Sale
Our 2026 Bull Sale was a success!

Thank you to all of our new and returning customers for coming out. If you missed out, contact Ranch Manager Chance Muehlstein at 830-377-1391 to inquire about remaining bulls.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
We are excited to announce the first ever Bonham Ranch Silent Auction Bull Sale! The sale will be held February 27 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Ranch’s working pens. We have been overwhelmed with interest in our young bulls this year. We decided to make the change to a silent auction format to both make the bulls' initial offering on the same day and alleviate the stress and need for instant decision-making of a live auction setting. Any bulls that are not sold at the conclusion of the auction will be available by private treaty in the same way our customers have grown accustomed to over the last several years.
Below, you'll find a list of sale details and more information about the bulls. For more information about our breeding program, click here. If you would like to schedule a time to see the bulls prior to the sale, you may make arrangements with Chance at (830)377-1391. We would be happy to show you them one-on-one.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to supply you with Angus genetics. Please let us know how we can help you - we hope to see you at the Ranch on February 27!

Sale Details
-
Bulls will sell via silent auction bid. Each pen of bulls will have a clipboard outside of it with a list of the bulls located in that pen. Each bull will have a base price to begin the bidding. If you are interested in purchasing a particular bull, you will write your name down next to the base price as your bid. If nobody else signs their name at a higher bid for that bull before the sale closes at 3:00 pm, you will “win” the bid for the bull. However, if another customer is interested in the same bull, they will have the opportunity to beat the current high bid by writing their name down for the next price increment of $100. All winning bids will be considered enforceable at 3:00 pm.

-
At that time we will go to each pen and collect the bid sheets. We will announce each bull individually, beginning with the oldest in the pen, and ask if there is still bidding ongoing. If there is still active bidding, we will ask those who are interested, at the current bid price, to raise their hand. Only those bidders who have written their name down for a bid on that bull on the silent auction bid sheet will have the opportunity to participate. We will increase the price in $100 increments until only one hand remains. If a tie occurs, we will give the bid to the bidder with the highest bid written on the bid sheet. The other bidder(s) then have the option to increase the bid by $50 to stay in the auction. The clipboards with the bid sheets will be collected at that time and the winning bidders will be able to proceed with payment and load out.

-
Payment is due on sale day by cash or check.
-
Purchased bulls may be loaded out at the conclusion of the sale or arrangements made to be picked up by March 6, 2026. If purchased bulls are not picked up by then, payment will be refunded and bulls will be offered for sale via private treaty.
-
All bulls are sold under the suggested terms and conditions of the American Angus Association.
